Crown Subaru Partners with Red Cross to Help Save Lives - Paige Z

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. From new parents to premature babies, cancer patients, accident victims and more, the American Red Cross helps ensure there is access to safe, lifesaving blood. The Red Cross supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood, and we depend on the generosity of donors to help save lives. We’re grateful Crown Subaru of Chattanooga sponsored its first blood drive with the Southeast Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross of Tennessee on July 24, 2025. The blood drive was a success, with 35 units of blood collected, which surpassed their goal! Each donor who came to the drive can walk away knowing that their donation may help save more than one lifeWe want to say thank you to all the blood donors and Crown Subaru for doing their part to help keep our blood supply strong. Anyone who is interested in donating can make an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org.

Crown Subaru & the Children's Hospital at Erlanger - Siedah R

Crown Subaru once again partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Children's Hospital at Erlanger through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On July 10, Crown Subaru personally delivered these items to patients in treatment. This year, Crown Subaru has also opted to support the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric & Young Adult Program, which will provide 15 blood cancer patients with financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc.

Crown Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Chattanooga, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Crown Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Crown Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/21/2025, Crown Subaru donated 150 coats & 150 shoes/socks to Chatt Foundation. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Crown Subaru Helps Chattanooga Area Food Bank Provide Groceries For Over 100,000 Meals - John M

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank is honored to receive $33,500 from Crown Subaru's 2025 Share the Love campaign. The food bank's mission is to lead a network of partners and unite the community to eliminate hunger by feeding, nourishing, and empowering those we serve. Crown Subaru is an ally in this mission, and we're fortunate to have such generous continued support from a local team. This year, the food bank also partnered with Scouting America's Cherokee Area Council during the 2025 Scouting for Food drive to provide even more support for our neighbors, and over 2,550 pounds of food was collected in April. The food bank treasures this collaboration, for we believe the greatest impact happens when we all work together. Thank you Crown Subaru and Scouting America for supporting our work, feeding our neighbors, and working alongside us to get food to those who need it most.

Crown Subaru Sponsors Scouting for Food Event with Scouting America & The Chattanooga Area Food Bank - Edward E

Greetings Subaru Affiliates, Every year local scouts in our community have the privilege of "scouting for food" in support of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. Scouting America has led this effort and are thrilled at the opportunity to show scouts how to function with the scout slogan, "to do a good turn daily". We were extremely fortunate to have the support of Crown Subaru this year. Crown Subaru paid for the price of the doorhangers as well as the patches for the event. Both of these items are worthwhile and rewarding to the scouts in our units. Crown Subaru went above and beyond and donated 117 pounds of food as well. Scouting America and The Chattanooga Area Food Bank's efforts were essentially doubled due to the great generosity of Crown Subaru. The following article appeared in this link of The Chattanoogan.com. https://www.chattanoogan.com/2025/4/28/502898/1000-s-To-Be-Fed-Thanks-To-Local-Scouts.aspx This is a fantastic partnership that we hope to continue in the future. As the article states, thousands of families will be helped and sustained by the donations made this past Saturday. The synopsis is that they raised 2,559 pounds of food with 25 units and 115 participants. The door hangers and patches purchased by Subaru provide a lasting memorabilia of the power of giving. Thanks again for your partnership. Sincerely, Edward Ellis Special Programs Executive Scouting America, Cherokee Area Council

Earth Week Litter Cleanup - James U

On a beautiful Sunday in Chattanooga, the spirit of Earth Day came to life through action, as Green Steps teamed up with Crown Subaru for a litter cleanup along the E Main Street corridor. What began as a simple gathering of volunteers turned into a powerful example of what’s possible when community members and businesses come together for a shared purpose: to create a cleaner, healthier, and more connected city. With 22 volunteers, including several passionate members of the Crown Subaru team, we scoured the sidewalks, alleyways, and roadside shoulders of E Main Street and surrounding areas. Over the course of just two hours, we filled 41 bags with litter and removed 30 bulky waste items, including discarded furniture, mattresses, and even large appliances. This wasn’t just a cleanup, it was a reclaiming of public space, a recommitment to environmental care, and a visual reminder that stewardship begins at street level. Crown Subaru’s Role: More Than a Sponsor This event wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of Crown Subaru. From funding key supplies like trash grabbers, reusable gloves, and safety vests to ensuring volunteers stayed fueled with snacks and refreshments, Crown Subaru didn’t just show up, they made the entire event possible. Their team didn’t hesitate to roll up their sleeves and get to work, showing that their commitment to sustainability runs far deeper than branding. By investing in community-based environmental action, Crown Subaru helped model what corporate citizenship can, and should look like. Together, we didn't just pick up trash; we sparked conversations, made connections, and left this stretch of Chattanooga noticeably cleaner than we found it. Why It Matters: E Main Street is a vibrant but challenged corridor. It's home to beloved small businesses, historic neighborhoods, and a diverse range of residents. Like many urban areas, it struggles with persistent litter and illegal dumping, but with targeted, well-supported efforts like this one, we can change that narrative. Cleanups like this one do more than improve aesthetics. They protect local waterways from pollution, reduce harm to wildlife, foster community pride, and remind people that they have the power to make a difference in their own backyards. For us at Green Steps, this event was a shining example of how partnerships can amplify impact, and how a local nonprofit, a committed business, and everyday citizens can come together to spark real change. About Green Steps Green Steps is a grassroots environmental nonprofit working to eradicate litter and expand access to clean, safe outdoor spaces across Southeast Tennessee. Based near Chattanooga, we focus on education, infrastructure, and direct action, like community cleanups and public engagement events, to tackle the issue of litter at its roots. Since our founding in 2017, we’ve removed over 100,00 pounds of trash from Tennessee’s streets, streams, and parks, while inspiring a new culture of stewardship among residents of all ages. We believe that every neighborhood deserves to feel cared for, and that when people come together to restore the places they love, it creates ripples far beyond the trash bags. Looking Ahead We left this cleanup inspired. Volunteers shared stories, bonded over a shared mission, and expressed a desire to return for future events. And most importantly, the stretch of E Main Street we cleaned looked and felt better than we found it. Earth Day may come once a year, but with partners like Crown Subaru, we’re committed to keeping the momentum going year-round, because the planet deserves more than just a celebration, it deserves consistent, community-driven care.

Subaru Loves the Earth 2025 - Sara F

This April, as a part of Subaru Loves the Earth, Crown Subaru participated in a nationwide initiative to distribute 100,000 native trees in partnership with Subaru of America and the Arbor Day Foundation. It marked the largest corporate tree giveaway in the Arbor Day Foundation’s history. At our dealership, we handed out 150 trees to members of the community. The goal was simple: help restore local tree cover and give people the opportunity to plant something lasting in their own backyards, parks, or neighborhoods. Trees were selected based on regional suitability to ensure they would thrive in local conditions. Each one came with planting instructions and information about the environmental benefits trees provide—like improving air quality, supporting wildlife, and reducing urban heat. We had a great response from the community. Dozens of people came by to pick up trees, including longtime Subaru customers, new residents, and families looking to make a positive impact. For many, it was a meaningful way to celebrate Earth Month and do something tangible for the environment. This initiative is one of the many ways Subaru puts its Love Promise into action—by making a measurable difference for the planet and the people who call it home.

A Warm Gift of Hope - Holly R

At CHATT Foundation, we see families going through some of the hardest moments of their lives. Parents come through our doors doing everything they can to protect and provide for their children, but sometimes, the struggle is overwhelming. That’s why what happened on February 21 meant so much to so many. That Friday, Crown Subaru showed up—not just with words of support, but with action. They brought 300 brand-new coats, shoes, and socks for the children in our shelter, and the impact was immediate. I watched as kids’ faces lit up while picking out a coat in their favorite color, as parents took a deep breath knowing their little ones would be warm walking to school. It was one of those moments that remind you what kindness really looks like. Rebecca Matthews, our director at the Maclellan Shelter for Families, put it best: “For our families in shelter, we strive to maintain normalcy for children experiencing homelessness. These new items equip them for winter and build their confidence.” And that’s exactly what we saw—kids standing a little taller, smiling a little bigger, simply because they had something of their own that made them feel cared for. Baron King, our CEO, pointed out something that stuck with me: “Many of our families do not have vehicles. By coming on-site, Crown Subaru is not only meeting a critical need, they are meeting homeless families where they are.” That’s what made this so special. They didn’t just send a donation; they showed up. They met our families face-to-face, reminding them they’re seen, valued, and not alone. At CHATT Foundation, we serve over 450 people every single day. We provide meals, shelter, clothing, and a path forward. But we can’t do it alone. It takes partners like Crown Subaru—people who truly care and take action to prove it. That day, warmth didn’t just come in the form of coats and socks. It came in the form of compassion, generosity, and a community that believes in taking care of each other. And that’s something we’ll never forget.

Comfort in Times of Need: Brocks Wall - Sara F

Crown Subaru recently donated some items to help stock Brock’s Wall at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Chattanooga. Brock’s Wall is a special place where children can select a comforting item—whether it’s a stuffed animal, toy, game, or book—after a difficult visit. It’s more than just a wall of donated items; it offers children something to call their own as they navigate a challenging path. These small comforts provide a sense of security and hope, helping children feel supported as they begin their journey of healing.

A Day of Giving Back: Cooking for the Families of Ronald McDonald House - Sara F

At Crown Subaru, we believe in the power of community and the difference we can make by giving back. Recently, several of our team members had the chance to cook a meal for the families at the Ronald McDonald House, a place where families of seriously ill children can find comfort and support. On the day of the event, our team gathered at the Ronald McDonald House with a plan to prepare a taco salad bar. We brought everything – seasoned beef, beans, fresh lettuce, chips, and a variety of toppings. The setup allowed each family to build their own taco salad just the way they liked, creating a fun and interactive meal. As we worked together in the kitchen, it was clear how much everyone was enjoying the experience. Whether we were chopping vegetables, assembling toppings, or doing dishes, there was a sense of unity and excitement. We weren’t just cooking – we were taking the time to create something special for the families who were going through unbelievably challenging moments in their lives. When the families gathered for lunch, it was incredibly rewarding to see them enjoy the meal we had prepared. For a brief time, the worries of the day seemed to fade, replaced by the simple pleasure of a warm, home-cooked meal. Their gratitude and smiles reminded us how powerful small acts of kindness can be. At Crown Subaru, we’re proud to be part of a team that not only cares about our customers but also about the community we serve. Our time at the Ronald McDonald House was a reminder of how meaningful it is to come together and lend a hand when it’s needed most. We left with full hearts, knowing that we had brought a little comfort to those who needed it most.
