Special Olympics Tennessee - Polar Plunge - Sara F
This year, Crown Subaru was proud to sponsor and participate in a Polar Plunge supporting Special Olympics Tennessee. Special Olympics Tennessee is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through these programs, athletes are given the opportunity to build confidence, develop physical fitness, and experience the joy of accomplishment in an inclusive and supportive environment. Serving more than 18,000 athletes across the state, the organization offers competitions in 17 different sports, as well as free health screenings and leadership programs. They also work within schools to promote inclusion and acceptance, helping create communities where everyone is valued for their abilities. One of the ways they fund these life-changing programs is through events like the Polar Plunge, an annual fundraiser where brave participants jump into icy water to raise money and awareness for the athletes they serve. These events bring together communities, businesses, and supporters who believe in creating opportunities for all.
Community Blood Drive at Crown Subaru - Sara F
This February, we had the privilege of hosting a blood drive with Blood Assurance, who parked their donation bus right outside our building. As the sole supplier of blood for the Chattanooga and Cleveland, TN area, Blood Assurance plays a critical role in caring for our neighbors in times of need. Every donation stays local, helping patients in our own community. We're especially proud that 17 of our staff members rolled up their sleeves to donate. Watching our team step forward to give something so simple, yet so lifesaving, was a powerful reminder of what the Love Promise is all about.
Subaru Loves to Help 2026 - Sara F
This year, our team at Crown Subaru had the honor of donating 300 brand-new coats to the Chatt Foundation in downtown Chattanooga. Across our community, many children are without everyday essentials like warm coats, proper shoes, and socks. As temperatures drop, something as basic as a coat becomes more than clothing, it becomes comfort, confidence, and protection. When we delivered the coats, we were reminded why we do what we do. Even though a new warm coat might be a small thing to many people, to some it can make a huge difference. We are incredibly grateful to partner with organizations like the Chatt Foundation that work tirelessly to support local families. Together, we are helping ensure that children in our community stay warm, safe, and ready to thrive.
Supporting Families When It Matters Most - Sara F
Early this January, our team at Crown Subaru had the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way by volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Chattanooga. Six members of our team spent a few hours cooking lunch for the families staying there, many of whom are facing incredibly challenging moments while caring for their children. Together, we prepared a warm, homemade meal of baked ziti, salad, and garlic bread, simple comfort food meant to offer a small sense of normalcy and care. Sharing a meal may seem like a small gesture, but it can mean so much to families who are away from home during difficult times. Volunteer days like this are always deeply rewarding for our team. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and look forward to continuing to show up for the families and organizations who need it most.
From Our Team to Our Community - Sara F
This holiday season, our team at Crown Subaru wanted to do more for members of our community who are experiencing homelessness or struggling to afford everyday necessities. What made this effort especially meaningful was that every donation was collected from our own employees, who generously came together to support this cause. With those donations, we assembled 100 giveaway bags filled with snacks, hygiene essentials, and warm winter items. Each bag was thoughtfully packed to meet real, immediate needs while offering comfort, dignity, and care during the cold winter months. These bags were then handed out in downtown Chattanooga. We are proud of our team's generosity and grateful for the opportunity to continue finding ways to help more, give more, and serve more people in need.
Honoring Our Veterans: Supporting the Chattanooga AMVETS - Sara F
This year, we were proud to support the Chattanooga AMVETS to help them continue the work they do every day for veterans and their families. AMVETS has been around for generations, and their impact is felt all over Chattanooga, whether is helping veterans with benefits, offering connections to jobs, or just being a place where they can find support and community. Their dedication to our local veterans is something we truly admire. We're grateful for everything AMVETS does, and we're proud to stand with them. Supporting their mission is one small way we can say "thank you" to the men and women who have served our country.
Subaru Loves Pets 2025 - Sara F
This year's Subaru Loves Pets event was one of our favorites yet. We teamed up once again with McKamey Animal Center to host an on-site pet adoption here at Crown Subaru, basically turning our delivery bay into a petting zoo. We wanted to do a little more this year, so we invited six local vendors to set up in our parking lot. They not only brought great products and fun energy to the event, they also donated 10% of their event profits to McKamey as an extra way to support the animals. It added a real community feel to the day, with people shopping, chatting, and of course, stopping to meet the pets. By the end of the event, nine pets found their new families, six cats and three dogs. Seeing those animals head off to loving homes is what makes this event so meaningful for all of us.
Crown Subaru Partners with Red Cross to Help Save Lives - Paige Z
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. From new parents to premature babies, cancer patients, accident victims and more, the American Red Cross helps ensure there is access to safe, lifesaving blood. The Red Cross supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood, and we depend on the generosity of donors to help save lives. We’re grateful Crown Subaru of Chattanooga sponsored its first blood drive with the Southeast Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross of Tennessee on July 24, 2025. The blood drive was a success, with 35 units of blood collected, which surpassed their goal! Each donor who came to the drive can walk away knowing that their donation may help save more than one lifeWe want to say thank you to all the blood donors and Crown Subaru for doing their part to help keep our blood supply strong. Crown Subaru & the Children's Hospital at Erlanger - Siedah R
Crown Subaru once again partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Children's Hospital at Erlanger through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On July 10, Crown Subaru personally delivered these items to patients in treatment. This year, Crown Subaru has also opted to support the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric & Young Adult Program, which will provide 15 blood cancer patients with financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc.
Crown Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Chattanooga, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Crown Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Crown Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/21/2025, Crown Subaru donated 150 coats & 150 shoes/socks to Chatt Foundation. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
